10 Great interview questions

Interviews are an essential part of hiring process, helping you gather job-related information that you typically can't find through resumes and applications alone. To be effective, interviewers should prepare and ask the right questions. Here are ten key interview questions to consider:

Supreme Court blocks OSHA vaccine mandate, allows CMS mandate to stand

The United States Supreme Court has issued a decision that blocks a federal OSHA emergency temporary standard (ETS) that would require employers with 100 or more employees to ensure that employees either be vaccinated against COVID-19 or produce a weekly negative test. Separately, the court upheld a Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Interim Final Rule (CMS Rule), requiring vaccinations among certain healthcare workers.

OSHA 300A Summary must be posted in workplace Feb.1 through April 30, 2022

OSHA’s Recordkeeping Standard, 29 CFR 1904, requires affected employers to maintain annual records of workplace injuries and illnesses. If your company is not partially exempt (either by industry, size, or both) from OSHA recordkeeping requirements, ADP will help you fulfill this responsibility by providing your company with its preliminary 300 Log and 300A Summary. Check out this bulletin to learn more and access the new features.

Home COVID-19 tests to be covered by insurance

On Monday, Jan.  10, 2022, the Biden Administration announced a requirement to expand access to free at-home COVID tests.

Minimum wage increases

Various jurisdictions have increased their minimum wage rates as we approach the new year. Please review your non-exempt employees to ensure their pay rates meet or exceed the required minimum wage based on their work location.

Who is filing your 2021 ACA Reporting?

If you are an Applicable Large Employer (ALE)*, your business could be in jeopardy of facing significant financial IRS assessments if you have not reviewed and acknowledged your Affordable Care Act (ACA) forms for the 2021 reporting year. If you do not take action to review and acknowledge your filing in the ACA Reporting Tool (ART), your Forms 1095-C may not be distributed to your full-time employees prior to the IRS deadline. As a result, your business may be subject to IRS assessments. Your ACA filing must be approved by January 20, 2022, or your company may face IRS assessments for failure to furnish the filing on time.

Submitting your 2021 EEO-1 Component 1 reports has changed, here’s what you need to know.

Over the past several years, we have enjoyed being able to support your EEO-1 Component 1 report filing. As of 2022, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has requested that PEOs have clients submit individual 2021 EEO-1 Component 1 reports themselves and each year after.  Thus, as a PEO, we will no longer be filing an aggregate EEO-1 Component 1 Report on your behalf to the EEOC.  ADP TotalSource will provide support, tools and assist with regulatory standards to ensure you can successfully generate, upload, and certify the EEO-1 report moving forward.
