Overview: The Michigan minimum wage will be as follows:
September 1, 2014 — $8.15
January 1, 2016 — $8.50
January 1, 2017 — $8.90
January 1, 2018 — $9.25
Every January, beginning in 2019, the state treasurer shall adjust the minimum wage by an amount determined by the state treasurer.
The following Michigan Workforce Opportunity Wage Act poster is required by law to be posted in the work place if you are not covered by the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938, as amended (FLSA), or federal minimum wage provisions would result in a lower minimum wage than provided in the Michigan Workforce Opportunity Wage Act. Effective September 1, 2014.
