Poster Effective Date: August 1, 2014
Overview: The Minnesota minimum wage increasing the minimum wage over the next few years. The wages will be as follows:
$8.00 on August 1, 2014
$9.00 on August 1, 2015
$9.50 on August 1, 2016
To help small businesses, the bill also establishes lower minimum wage requirements for small employers and young workers. For small employers, the minimum wage will be as follows:
$6.50 effective August 1, 2014
$7.25 effective August 1, 2015
$7.75 effective August 1, 2016
Starting in 2018, Minnesota’s minimum wage will be indexed to inflation to help ensure Minnesotans’ wages keep up with the cost of living.
This is a material substantive change and a new, Minnesota All–In-One poster is required.
