Handbook Update: Under South Carolina law employers with handbooks wishing to preserve the "at-will" employment relationship and limit the possibility of an employee handbook being deemed an employment contract should have on the first page of the handbook (e.g. the cover page) a conspicuous disclaimer stating the employment relationship is at-will.
