Michigan state poster was edited to revise MIOSHA's Safety and Health Protection.
MIOSHA's Safety and Health Protection is being revised to include new employer reporting requirements for all work-related hospitalizations, amputations and losses of an eye. The MIOSHA Injuries/Illness reporting number is also being added to the notice. Employers are now required to file a detailed report within eight hours of fatal workplace accidents.
In addition, severe on-the-job injuries that do not result in death but require hospitalization must be reported within 24 hours. Such reports must be filed regardless of the size of the business. Previously, the regulations required such reports only if a worker was killed or three or more workers were hospitalized as a result of a workplace accident. The new 24-hour reporting requirement includes all work-related hospitalizations, amputations or loss of an eye.
This is a material substantive change and a new Michigan All–In-One poster is required. Please note that this update does not impact the Federal All-In-One poster.
