Now, when you change an employee's state or city in selected states, a message will appear in the Personal Profile.
The message will prompt you to enter the date the employee actually moved. Your Payroll Service Representative will be notified of the actual move date as well as the new city and state changes.
This means that your Payroll Service Representative will proactively make any necessary taxation changes in a timely manner, which will help with the prevention of Form W-2 rework, penalties, and incorrect tax filings.
If an employee makes the change, a similar message will be displayed and your Payroll Service Representative will be notified.
