California has enacted legislation that clarifies that the duty of an employer to reimburse their employees for business expenses also applies to the use of a vehicle owned by an employee and used by that employee in the discharge of their duties.
City of Los Angeles Ordinance 188610, which raises the minimum wage to $22.50 for employees working at hotels with 60 or more rooms was originally slated to go into effect on July 1, 2025.
Washington state has enacted legislation (Senate Bill 5793), which expands paid sick leave protections under state law. Senate Bill 5793 takes effect on Jan. 1, 2025.
