You’ve got the basics of how to align your benefit offerings with your business goals, business cycle and employee demographics. Now it’s time to put your knowledge into action. Here’s a checklist to help you prepare for your Open Enrollment meeting with your ADP TotalSource® Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP).

The logistics:

⟨ Check the calendars of your company’s CEO and/or CFO, if that’s not you.

⟨ Respond to emails/calls from your HRBP to schedule your OE meeting.

⟨  Read the Chart Your Course: Aligning Your Benefits and Business Strategy magazine and watch the  companion videos. Just click here to access.

Which benefits strategy drivers are you most interested in discussing with your HRBP?

⟨ Aligning your benefit decisions based on your company’s stage on the business lifecycle continuum.

⟨ Tailoring your benefits offering to your company’s specific employee demographics. Want the latest               demographic information on your worksite employees? Find it on the Human Capital Management Dashboard at MyTotalSource.com.

⟨ Designing a benefits package that attracts, retains and engages today’s key talent.

What’s your approach to this year’s Open Enrollment?

⟨ Get it done. We don’t have much time to spend on benefit selections, and what we’re offering is working pretty well. We’ll probably stick with what we’ve got for the next Plan Year.

⟨ Maintain the status quo. We’ve made some strategic decisions over the past couple of years to align our benefit offerings with our business goals. We’re comfortable with the plans we offer and would like to maintain that stability this year.

⟨ Take a fresh look. It’s time to look at our own data and industry benchmarking. We've got a feeling we’ll need to adjust our benefits strategy so that it’s right for our business – now and into the future.

Your HRBP is ready to help

         • Review your 2015–2016 plan choices, changes for the coming Plan Year and trends applicable to your industry and region.

         • Help you model different benefit and contribution scenarios (using the TotalSolutions Plan and Cost Comparison tool) so you can confidently select the benefits strategy that’s best – for your business and your worksite employees.

         • Provide ideas for enhancing your benefit offerings through other employee-valued benefits, such as life and disability insurance, 401(k) plan, commuter benefits, health savings accounts, voluntary benefits and more.

Competitive benefits are important to your worksite employees – and to your bottom line.
