VT Healthcare Contribution Agency Change

Beginning in the last quarter of 2017, the State of Vermont now requires that all Health Care Fund Contribution assessment payments, once remitted to the Department of Labor (DOL), be remitted to the Department of Tax (DOT).
We have been working diligently with the DOT to make this process as seamless as possible. While VT Health Care Fund Contribution assessments are not new, ADP TotalSource has been filing these quarterly reports for VT employers since the law passed in 2007, this will cause a change to how the assessments are charged. When a company is subject to an assessment in any given quarter, in which the filing is completed, ADP TotalSource will pay the assessment on behalf of the Client. We will then apply the required assessments, as a below the line item on the payroll invoice.
