Massachusetts Health Insurance Responsibility Disclosure (HIRD)

Important reminder that Health Insurance Responsibility Disclosure (HIRD) filing requirements apply to all employers with 6 or more Massachusetts employees in any month during the past 12 months.  The filing is done through MassTaxConnect which is available for HIRD filing between Nov. 15 and Dec. 15.

How will ADP TotalSource assist with this filing?


If you had 6 or more employees in Massachusetts in the prior 12 months, you should have received communication from your HRBP with some of the data used to complete MA HIRD Filing.

Important Reminders/Tips:

·       ADP TotalSource will not perform the HIRD filing. Clients will need to do their own filing.

·       A MassTaxConnect login is needed to complete the HIRD filing. If you do not have a login, you will need to be create one.  

·       A separate login is needed for each FEIN.
