California
Employers with 50 or more employees must provide at least two hours of classroom or other effective interactive training and education regarding sexual harassment to all new supervisory employees within six months of assuming a supervisory position. Thereafter, covered employers must provide sexual harassment training and education to each supervisory employee once every two years.
Having 50 or more employees means employing or engaging 50 or more employees or contractors for each working day in any 20 consecutive weeks in the current calendar year or preceding calendar year. There is no requirement that the 50 employees or contractors work at the same location or all work or reside in California.

Maine
The law requires sexual harassment education and training for all employers with 15 or more employees. All new employees and all new supervisory and managerial employees must receive this training within one year of the commencement of their employment. The statute does not state a look back period. We recommend that upon employing 15 employees the required sexual harassment training should be done.
