Currently, New Hampshire law requires employers to pay all wages due to employees “within 8 days including Sunday after expiration of the week in which the work is performed.”  This translates into a requirement that wages be paid on a weekly basis.

New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu signed into law House Bill 194, which amends the current law to also permit the payment of wages on a biweekly basis. Specifically, the law now permits payment of wages “at regular intervals not to exceed 14 days.”  Employers may petition the commissioner to permit payment of wages less frequently other than weekly or biweekly. However, wages must be paid at least once each calendar month.
