The City of Los Angeles has announced that beginning July 1, 2022, the minimum wage will increase by $1.04 from $15.00 per hour to $16.04 per hour for all employers. The increase is applicable to employees who work at least two hours within the geographic boundaries of the City.
Note: California does not allow the use of a tip credit when paying tipped employees.

City of Los Angeles, California employers should pay all covered non-exempt employees at least $16.04 per hour beginning July 1, 2022. Employers should also post an up-to-date minimum wage notice in the workplace.
It is important to note that the notice must be in English, Spanish, Chinese, Hindi, Vietnamese, Tagalog, Korean, Japanese, Thai, Armenian, Russian, and Farsi, and any other language spoken by at least five percent of the employees in the workplace.
