Sick Leave Toolkit Updated for Arizona, Chicago, Cook County, Emeryville, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, and St Paul

Our Sick Leave Toolkit, which includes Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and model sick leave policies for jurisdictions with sick leave laws, has been updated based on recent agency guidance, rules and/or best practice recommendations.  

Frequently Asked Questions Updates


The following question numbers have been updated:

  • Arizona: 3, 4, 14, 16, 17, 18, 21, 22, 23 and 26.
  • Chicago: 2, 11, 14, 18, 20, 21, 22 and 26
  • Cook County: 2, 11, 14, 18, 19, 21, 22 and 26.
  • Emeryville: 2, 6, 7 and 8
  • Los Angeles: 1, 6, 7 and 8.
  • Minneapolis: 5, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 18, 21, 22 and 26
  • St Paul: 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 13, 14, 15, 16, 18, 21 and 23.

Policy Updates


The following policies have been updated:

  • Arizona: Usage section reason # 4 and address for the enforcement agency has been updated.
  • Chicago/Cook County:  Overall policy revised based on the issuance of final rules for Chicago and Cook County.

The Updated Sick Leave is available on FormSource in the Leave and Return to Work section or in your TotalSource Forms Library as applicable.
