Author: DeadreDiggs/Friday, July 31, 2015/Categories: Bulletin News

Our sick leave toolkit which includes Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and model sick leave policies for jurisdictions with sick leave laws has been updated as follows:

Changes Impacting FAQs

·         Added Emeryville, CA, Montgomery County, MD and Oregon

·         Revised California based on recent amendment;

·         Revised Massachusetts based on final regulations;

·         Revised Portland to note repeal upon effective date of Oregon law, and deleted Eugene (for the same reason)

·         Revised NJ municipalities (Passaic, Trenton, Montclair, Paterson) and Philadelphia based on guidance and issuance of notices/posters

·         Minor updates were made to the policies. Many of the policies referred to the effective date of the law.  With the passage of time the reference is no longer necessary.

New Policies

1. We added the following policies:

·         Emeryville, CA (also complies with the California sick leave law).

·          Philadelphia, PA

·         Tacoma, WA

2. Due to agency guidance we made a tweak to the Seattle policy regarding maximum annual accrual.

The toolkit is available on FormSource in the Leave and Return to Work section. As always, please contact your HR Business Partner if you have any questions.
