New Hampshire has modified its pay frequency requirements. Previously, employers were required to pay all wages at regular pay periods not to exceed 14 days. The amendment now requires employers to pay all wages due to the employee within eight days after the expiration of the work week if the employee is paid weekly, or within 15 days after the expiration of the work week if the employee is paid biweekly.

Coverage: Employers with employees in New Hampshire.

Effective: July 29, 2018.

Action Required: Employers should review their payroll practices and revise, if necessary, to ensure all wages are timely paid.
