December is the perfect time to remind you of your Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recordkeeping requirements. If your company is not partially exempt (either by industry, size, or both), ADP will help you fulfill this responsibility by providing your company with its preliminary 300 Log of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses and 300A Summary of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses at the end of January each year.

Many employers reward and recognize high performers with a bonus, especially toward the end of the year. If you award bonuses, there are several overtime and tax rules to consider. Here’s an overview of some of these rules to help you as you close out the business year in 2023.

On Wednesday, Oct. 25, you may have received an email inaccurately stating that most banks are closed on Friday, Nov. 10, in observance of Veterans Day and that your pay date of Friday, Nov. 10, 2023, would be moved to Thursday, Nov. 9, 2023. 

ADP TotalSource®, the Federal Reserve and most banks will be open on Friday, Nov. 10, 2023, and closed on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2023.

It is almost time for the Massachusetts HIRD filing. Massachusetts law requires employers to file a HIRD form on an annual basis containing information about employer sponsored insurance. HIRD filing requirements apply to all employers with 6 or more Massachusetts employees in any month during the past 12 months.
