Getting back to business: New Return to Workplace Playbook available

As part of our ongoing efforts to help you continuously evaluate how, or when, to open your business in the face of COVID-19 and social injustice issues, ADP TotalSource has developed a playbook to help guide you. Filled with valuable information on a variety of topics from wage and hour resources, policy management and how to effectively communicate with your employees during this challenging time, to how to keep your team engaged, this is a must-use tool. To access, log in to My TotalSource® and scroll down to click the yellow “COVID-19 Updates” under the “Reopening your Workplace” section and you will see the “Return to Workplace” link. In addition, we have developed this resource to help you keep your employees safe as you navigate through COVID-19. Alaska to increase minimum wage in 2021

The minimum wage in Alaska will increase to $10.34 per hour on January 1, 2021. The change is a result of annual adjustment for inflation. All non-exempt employees must be paid at least the minimum wage per hour.

California amends Work-Sharing Program, accepts electronic applications

California has enacted legislation (Assembly Bill 1731) that makes a number of changes to the existing work-sharing program operated by the Employment Development Department (EDD) to help increase use of the program by employers. The changes are effective immediately, but will be repealed at the end of 2023, unless extended.
