08/06/15

Author: DeadreDiggs/Friday, July 31, 2015/Categories: Bulletin News

The Employer Shared Responsibility (ALE) provisions of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) are in effect for Applicable Large Employers (ALE). As a result, Annual Health Care Reporting is undoubtedly on your radar. Beginning in 2016, ALEs have to begin filing annual information reports 1094-C and 1095-C with the IRS, documenting that they have complied with Section 4980H of the Internal Revenue Code.

The data elements required for compliance are numerous and should be stored and maintained by the employer. Moreover, your clients are subject to audit by the IRS, and this data will be critical in disputing incorrect ACA penalty assessments. It’s time to start thinking about how your clients will develop and deliver the right tools in conjunction with effective benefits communications and year- end communications to drive awareness and engagement.

This insightful and informative website will include an overview of ACA annual reporting and actionable advice on how to leverage strategic communications.

Attendees will walk away with best practices on:

» Forms 1094-C and 1095-C reporting
» Who needs to report? Who needs to receive a report?
» When do reports have to be filed?
» Section 4980H penalty assessments and appeals
» Types and sources of data required for compliance
» The role of communications in the execution of your overall annual reporting strategy
