Virginia adopts workplace safety standards for COVID-19

The Virginia Safety and Health Codes Board enacted a temporary workplace safety standard in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Emergency Temporary Standard is effective July 27, 2020.

Virginia requires pregnancy accommodations

Virginia bans hairstyle discrimination

Virginia State Poster Update

8/18/16

The Virginia state poster has been updated in regards to accident reporting. All injuries or illnesses that result in an in-patient hospitalization, amputation or loss of an eye must be reported to Virginia Occupational Safety and Health Program (VOSH) within 24 hours. This Virginia law has been effective as of July 1, 2016.
