New California Regulations on Workplace Anti-Harassment, Anti-Discrimination Policies - Effective April 1

New California regulations, effective April 1, 2016, declare that employers have an affirmative duty to create a workplace environment that is free from employment practices prohibited by the California Fair Employment and Housing Act and that employers have an affirmative duty to take reasonable steps to prevent and promptly correct discriminatory and harassing conduct.

Oregon Enacts 3-Tiered Minimum Wage Increase

On March 2, 2016, Governor Kate Brown signed into law Senate Bill 1532 that establishes a 3- tiered system for determination of minimum wage based on geographical location of the employer.

New York City Sick Leave Rules Amended - Sick Leave Toolkit Updated
