The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) issued a final rule that will require covered employers to electronically report work-related injuries and illnesses and requires all employers to develop and inform employees of injury and illness reporting policies.

The Department of Labor (DOL) has published final Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) regulations that are effective December 1, 2016. Multiple sources have reported that United States Department of Labor (USDOL) recently sent the proposed overtime rule to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for its mandatory review. While the actual release date and the corresponding effective date for the regulations are unknown, most experts agree that the effective date will likely be 60 days from the release date.
