On June 6, 2018, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) released a draft Form W-4, Employee’s Withholding Allowance Certiļ¬cate, for 2019. Several changes are fundamental in nature, potentially requiring significant reprogramming of payroll systems. State and local tax authorities are also expected to respond with similar changes.
