The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) issued a final rule that will require covered employers to electronically report work-related injuries and illnesses and requires all employers to develop and inform employees of injury and illness reporting policies.

The Department of Labor (DOL) has published final Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) regulations that are effective December 1, 2016. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) issued its Revised Procedures, Revised Interim Enforcement Procedures for Reporting Requirements. Changes include an increase to the maximum fine for failing to report a reportable incident, and monitoring of closed Rapid Response Investigations (RRIs) based on randomized selection of closed cases.
